Respected pair from Venable strengthen Eisner’s entertainment capabilities, expand Beverly Hills office
Los Angeles, CA – January 14, 2026 – Eisner, LLP announced today that Nicholas Jacobus has joined the Firm as a Partner and Samuel Djahanbani has joined the Firm as Senior Counsel. The attorneys, who come together from Venable LLP, will practice in Eisner’s Entertainment group and will be based in the Firm’s Beverly Hills office.
“Nick and Sam are highly regarded entertainment lawyers whom we have known and worked with for many years, both as collaborators and across the table on significant deals,” said Michael Eisner, Chair of Eisner, LLP. “Their experience and professionalism make them outstanding additions to the Firm, and a natural fit for our collaborative, deal-driven practice. Their arrival further strengthens our capabilities and bolsters our ability to guide clients across a broad range of sophisticated transactions in the entertainment industry.”
Jacobus focuses his practice on entertainment transactional and tax matters, guiding clients through entity formation and structuring, capital raises, equity incentive arrangements, and liquidity events. He regularly drafts and negotiates operating agreements, purchase agreements, equity awards, and services agreements, and is well versed in entertainment-specific business and tax issues. With an LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law, he brings significant experience counseling clients on partnership, corporate, and individual tax considerations in connection with complex transactions.
“Eisner is a natural fit for our practice,” said Jacobus. “The Firm’s entertainment platform is both highly respected and deeply collaborative, with the transactional depth needed to support complex industry deals. We are excited to join the team and to continue advising creative and entrepreneurial clients with sophisticated, practical counsel.”
“We’ve seen firsthand the strength of Eisner’s work and have been impressed by the Firm’s strong presence in the entertainment industry,” said Djahanbani. “We look forward to bringing our entertainment and transactional experience to the team and to continuing to advise clients on their most significant matters.”
Djahanbani represents clients in complex transactional, corporate, and tax matters, with a particular focus on the entertainment industry. His experience includes advising actors, producers, executives, production companies, talent managers, musicians, influencers, and digital media businesses on joint ventures, equity financings, brand and endorsement deals, music catalog transactions, and equity incentive arrangements. Bringing an accounting background to his transactional practice, he also guides clients through entity formation, capital raises, and tax planning strategies.
