Eisner, LLP announced today that it represented digital media company Red Seat Ventures on its sale to Fox Corporation (“FOX”). Red Seat will operate as a standalone entity within FOX’s Tubi Media Group, with Red Seat founding partners Chris Balfe and Kevin Balfe continuing to lead and operate the business, and Paul Cheesbrough, CEO of Tubi Media Group, assuming the role of chairman.

A leading company in the creator economy, Red Seat partners with the world’s most influential talent to build new media businesses and brands. Red Seat owns a major podcast network and produces programming featuring several former FOX and cable news stars, including Megyn Kelly, Tucker Carlson, and Bill O’Reilly, whose podcasts regularly rank toward the top of Apple’s charts. Red Seat’s creators generate over 200 million monthly downloads and views, and its podcast network ranks among the top 10 in the U.S. based on scale and reach.

Taking a multiplatform approach to content creation, Red Seat offers a variety of services, including studio and production teams, ad sales, marketing, branding, and creative input. The transaction with FOX builds upon Red Seat’s investment in its creators and enhances the services offered to them, while preserving the independence and integrity of their brands.
