Eisner, LLP advised entertainment and technology veterans Jon Erwin and Kelly Merryman Hoogstraten on the launch of The Wonder Project, an independent studio that will create TV shows and movies targeted toward a faith and values-oriented audience.
Ahead of the launch, more than $75 million in seed and Series A funding was raised from Sovereign’s Capital, Lionsgate, Powerhouse Capital, United Talent Agency, and Jason Blum, among others. Erwin, an acclaimed producer and director, will serve as Chief Content Officer, and Merryman Hoogstraten, a former YouTube and Netflix executive, will serve as CEO.
Eisner attorneys Michael Eisner, Brian D. Kilb, and Holden Sumner served as legal advisors to The Wonder Project.
