Lena Cohen is a seasoned litigator that focuses her practice on complex litigation, including high-stakes disputes that involve parallel civil, criminal, and/or regulatory matters.
She has extensive experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants and providing strategic counseling in a broad range of litigation and pre-litigation disputes, including intellectual property, employment, privacy, class actions, unfair competition, fraud, and breach of contract. She has repeatedly prevailed at the motion to dismiss and summary judgment stage, defeated class certification, and obtained complete defense verdicts in multiple arbitration hearings.
Lena represents clients in a variety of industries, including entertainment, asset management, technology, consumer products, and social media. Her experience includes representing clients in federal and state court as well as arbitration proceedings, developing and executing litigation and settlement strategies, efficiently managing complex fact and expect discovery, and representing clients in sensitive internal and government investigations. She also frequently counsels senior management and investors on litigation risk, compliance considerations, and policies and practices to minimize future legal exposure.
Before joining Eisner LLP, Lena was a litigator at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. She also served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Virginia A. Phillips and Judge Beverly Reid O’Connell of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. Lena earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Chicago.
