Spencer brings a unique blend of IP litigation and entertainment law experience, with a deep focus on the music industry.

Beginning his career with a focus on brand protection and anti-counterfeiting efforts, Spencer represented clients in high-stakes IP disputes at a boutique intellectual property firm in New York and oversaw commercial transactions and brand portfolio management for a global fashion giant.

Spencer then moved into the heart of the music industry, first acting as lead Business & Legal Affairs attorney in the U.S. for the acclaimed independent electronic music label Armada Music, and then most recently as part of the Center commercial transactions group at Universal Music Group, where he counseled various departments, including the Verve Label Group. His experience varies across high-profile artist agreements, licensing, distribution and joint venture structures, providing day-to-day legal guidance across all aspects of label operations, and multinational brand partnerships and events.

With a practice rooted in both legal rigor and real-world industry insight, Spencer advises clients across music, fashion, and media, helping creators and companies alike protect their work, scale their business, and structure deals that last.
